Dialog between the characters is at the core of writing a good story or screen play. So often the plot will build to a point where a very important dialog will take place between the main characters.

Notice how the setting is often a quiet beautiful place, a nice room by a fire or in the evening at sunset. This conversation often becomes a turning point in the story.

Most people like to 'talk things through' with a friend. The same is true in our relationship with God. The topic is prayer which is often referred to as 'talking with God.'
